We are an urban homestead based on natural, holistic and sustainable principles. Our livestock includes chickens & honey bees and we cultivate fruits, vegetables and kitchen herbs.
Construction of the chicken coop is underway. These progress photos show the foundation being set with cmu blocks – no mortar, just dry set and capped with concrete pavers. Also shown is the 2×6 base of wood that will be the connection point for all posts of the coop. As you can begin to see the basic frame structure of the coop will be painted white (matches our plastic fencing that is already on site)
