We are an urban homestead based on natural, holistic and sustainable principles. Our livestock includes chickens & honey bees and we cultivate fruits, vegetables and kitchen herbs.
This book edited by Carleen Madigan is the best read so far for the Homesteading subject of our story. It has all of our interests we have committed to and then some. It’s organized with straight forward writing style has lots of images and diagrams (Architect types like me love that) and is very down to earth and manageable for our understanding of farming principals.
Read this for inspiration, knowledge and understanding of Homesteading goals – We are !
